The following examination guides are available:
Brodies Notes series published by Macmillan.
This series of books give commentaries on Jane Austen's novels. Succinct notes are given for each chapter of the novels, followed by short chapters on plot, characters, the setting and the themes in each novel.

Longman Literature Guides
For the more advanced student, this series is a collection of essays by literary critics who discuss different aspects of Jane Austen's work. Questions are asked of the reader at the end of each chapter and the Guides conclude with a section on planning essays and other study skills.

Penguin Critical Studies
A general account of Jane Austen's life and influences is given before short chapters look at significant themes, characters and style in the novels.

York Notes series - published by Longman
This series of notes includes biographical information about Jane Austen, as well as details of the Regency period, a summary and glossary of the text, commentaries on the text, including characterisation, and many hints and suggestions for effective study.
