Durham

John Meade Falkner (1858-1932) In 1899, at the age of 40, he had married Evelyn Violet Adye who was then 29. Shortly afterwards the couple moved into 'Divinity House' in Durham He was involved with both Durham University and Durham Cathedral in retirement, where he was Honorary Librarian to the Dean and Chapter. He died on July 22, 1932, in Durham. Buried in Burford.

Robert Francis Kilvert (1840-79). One of his notebooks is in the Welsh National Library, one is in Durham University Library, and the third is unaccounted for.

Wordsworth (1770-1850) Stayed in Sockburn 1799
