Dylan Thomas (1914-53) born 27th October at 5 Cwndonkin Drive, bought by his parents in 1914 and educated in Swansea. Lived in Swansea until 1936. He wrote two thirds of his poetry before the age of twenty at 5 Cwmdonkin Drive.

Visited the Gower Peninsula and Carmarthenshire where he stayed with his Aunt, Annie Jones, at the farm 'Fern Hill', which is immortalised in the poem of the same name.
Visited Laugharne in 38-40. Settled in Laugharne 40-53. Lived lived at 'Majoda', New Quay, Ceredigion (Cardiganshire), in 1944 - 45 and 'Plas Gelli' near Talsarn between 1941 and 1943. Buried in Laugharne.
