He lived in Bromsgrove 1860-1873. The house where his family lived for many years is now a hotel - The Perry Hall Hotel in Kidderminster Road. The front of the building outside has changed little. | He was educated in Bromsgrove, at Bromsgrove School. ![]() |
| A statue of A.E.Housman was erected in Bromsgrove High Street in 1985
| The family graves are in the Christ Church, Catshill graveyard though Housman's ashes are in the church at Ludlow.

Landor (1775-1864) - Estate - Ipsley Court, near Studley (now extensively renovated and home to the Law Society). Once Warwickshire, now in the urban district of Redditch, Worcestershire. Visited between 1786 and 1811. Owned by Landor 1805 onwards.
Samuel Johnson (1709-84) educated in Lichfield, Stourbridge, Pembroke College, Oxford. Lived in Birmingham 1734, M in Derby 1735

Francis Brett Young (1884-1954) Born at The Laurels, Halesowen, Worcs. ed. Epsom College and Birmingham University. Novel, The Iron Age is set partly in Ludlow. Many of his novels use settings on Welsh border. lived in Fladbury 32-circa 45 (died in Africa), commemorated in Worcester and Halesowen
